Bus Transfers To and From Houston Airport

You will find several bus lines that connect Houston Airport with the surrounding area.

The main service provider is the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO), which offers local bus service to and from IAH from downtown Houston.

Houston Airport to downtown Houston:

You can use the METRO Bus #102, which serves the airport and surrounding neighborhoods with multiple stops. The bus continues to the METRO station downtown Houston.

You will find the pick-up and drop-off located at the METRO Bus Stop on Baggage Claim Level on the Southside of Terminal C.

The transit time with METRO Bus #102 to downtown Houston from IAH runs 50 to 90 minutes.

The fare is $1.25. Please be aware that this is cash only, and that the driver does not make changes.

All passengers are allowed to stow luggage in the baggage compartment accessed from the outside of the bus. However, the bus drivers do NOT assist with the luggage.

Houston Airport to William P. Hobby Airport (HOU):

You can also take the METRO Bus #102 if you wish to travel by bus from Houston Airport (IAH) to William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).

You will need to get off at the intersection of Milam and McKinney (before the METRO Transit Center). Make sure that you ask the driver to wait until any luggage is retrieved.

Proceed walking two blocks east on McKinney to the corner of McKinney and Main. From here, you can catch the METRO Bus #40 (eastbound/southbound) to HOU.

The fare is $1.25 per ride for a total fare of $2.50.

Additional Public Bus Transportation to and from IAH

Buses to Beaumont/Port Arthur, Texas - Jack Brooks Regional Airport (BPT)

If you have to travel between Houston Airport and Jack Brooks Regional Airport (BPT), you can use either United Airlines or Sun Travel Airport shuttle.

The buses depart from Baggage Claim Level, on the south side of Terminal C at door C-105. Please exit through the door marked “Bus/Taxi”

Buses to College Station, Texas – Easterwood Airport (CLL)

All passengers who have to go towards College Station, Texas – Easterwood Airport (CLL), can use GroundShuttle. They offer daily shuttle buses between IAH and CLL.

The shuttle buses depart from Baggage Claim Level, on the south side of Terminal C, at door C-105. Please exit through the door marked “Bus/Taxi”.

Buses to Galveston, Texas

Passengers who need to get to Galveston can use Galveston Limousine Service. They provide daily shuttle buses between IAH and Galveston.

The shuttle buses depart from Baggage Claim/Arrivals Level, at Terminals A, B, and C:

• Terminal A: West side, A-114
• Terminal B: Southside, B-103
• Terminal C: Southside, Door C-105
• The shuttle buses that depart from Departures, Terminal E can be found at:
• Terminal E: West side, Door E-201
• Terminal E: West side, Door E-202

Off-Airport Parking Shuttles

All passengers can use the off-airport parking shuttle buses to get to any of the parking lots outside the airport area.

The pick-up/drop-off area is outside Baggage Claim/Arrivals Level, at Terminals A, B, and C:

• Terminal A: west side, Door A-114
• Terminal B: west side, Door B-102N
• Terminal C: west side, Door C-103

Please follow the signs to “Ground Transportation”, and go through the exits that are marked with “Parking Shuttles”

Furthermore, you will also find a drop-off ONLY location at departures curb, at Terminal D.

Finally, there is a pick-up/drop-off area outside Level 2, Departure Level, at Terminal E:

• Terminal E: west side, Door E-201

Hotel Shuttles buses to and from George Bush Intercontinental Airport:

To use one of the hotel shuttle buses to get to your hotel please go to the pickup/drop-off area outside Baggage

Claim/Arrivals Level, at Terminals A, B, and C:

• Terminal A: Southside, Door A-115
• Terminal B: Southside, B-103
• Terminal C: Southside, Door C-105

All passengers have to follow the signs to “Ground Transportation” and then go through the exits are marked with “Hotel Shuttles”

You will also find a pick-up/drop-off area outside Level 2, Departures Level, at Terminal E:
